A Long-Term Recovery Group (LTRG) brings together faith-based organizations, non- profits, government agencies, businesses, and community groups to take action when disaster strikes. Focused on long-term recovery, the LTRG provides vital resources, coordinated support, and hands-on assistance to help individuals and families rebuild, recover, and move forward after major storms and disasters.

OUR PURPOSE

1. Cooperation
Foster a climate of cooperation by promoting information sharing and holding regular meetings to ensure efficient service delivery throughout the disaster cycle.

2. Coordination
Strengthen local capabilities by sharing resources, offering training, and establishing mutual aid agreements for a well-coordinated disaster response.

3. Collaboration
Collaborate as equal partners with shared goals, optimizing resources and working together to help communities prepare for and recover from disasters.

4. Communication
Develop and maintain effective communication channels to share vital information between MC EOC, MCF -COAD, LTRG members, the public, and local, state, and federal agencies.

Coordinated Entry for Disaster Survivors

Through our digital platform, all Disaster Survivors needing assistant are entered through HP LTRG. A Disaster Case Manager walks them through the process for resources and building resiliency and hope.

We hold community meetings on the second Wednesday of each month at 9:00 AM EST via Zoom and in person. All community members and stakeholders are welcome to attend and learn how they can contribute to the recovery process.

We need your help! Volunteers are essential to our community’s recovery from Hurricane Helene and Milton, and we welcome individuals and groups to assist in all phases of the recovery process. Whether it’s debris removal, home cleanup, mass feeding, or helping community members navigate the recovery process, your support is invaluable.
